Sleeping Beauty

Garner comes in almost every morning and asks, "Can I sleep with you?"  I say, "Of course you can!"  and he replies, "Oh, thanks!"  I then get to sleep my last hour or two, forehead to forehead, with this beautiful, sweet face.  

Spring Soccer

I actually really love to watch four games of soccer every Saturday.  They all play so hard.  Cole, especially, is entertaining to watch.  I've never seen anyone give his all like he does.

Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day with our good friends, the Hekkings.  We swam in a freezing cold pool, celebrated Garner's birthday, played with their chickens and had dinner together.  None of us wanted the day to end.  

Garner's 4th Birthday!

Sweet little Garner is FOUR!  This sweet little boy is so filled with love and gives it away so freely.  He is completely adored by every single one of us.  

Jaden's Choir Concert

Jaden told me this morning, at breakfast, "Oh yeah, Mom, I have a concert tonight."  Luckily, we went, and got to hear him sing this little duet.  

Orange County, NY Arboretum

I LOVE how close Brian and Jaden are.  They are best friends.  I'm glad Jaden has Brian right now in his life.  Everyone needs a best friend.  The two of them are heading off for BYU Father/Son Basketball camp next week.  They'll be sleeping in a dorm room together, eating at the cafeteria, playing all kinds of sports, listening to speakers and meeting up with Jaden's other best friend, Kelson.  Wish I could be a fly on the wall!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was the best!  To me, Mother's Day isn't a day about me, but a day about how grateful for and in love I am with my kids.  They make my life complete.  It's also a day to think about and love my own mom.  The more I live, the more I understand what she's given me.  In one of the many Mother's Day cards that Cole made for me, he said, "And you have the best Grandma (meaning Joyce) in the whole world.  

McKenna's Play

McKenna was in her school's play, The Jungle Book.  She danced and sang and worked so hard for weeks!  We loved watching her and meeting all of her friends at the party afterwards.

Date with my little boys

Coley, Garner and I spent a special day together.  We had a picnic at the park, played on the playground, went miniature golfing and had ice cream cones.  They are best little friends.  It was such a joy to watch them push each other on the swings and cheer each other when they had a good shot in golf.  The highlight of their day was when the owner of the golf course let them keep their green and blue golf balls.  I love these boys!
