G-jers

That's what we call this precious little boy.  G-jers.  Last night, both little boys came into our room afraid of the thunder.  Because Brielle was already in bed with us, Brian got up and went to cuddle with Garner in his bed.  Cole took Brian's spot.  When Brian climbed into Garner's little twin bed, he said, "I am the luckiest person in the whole world.  Do you know why?"  Garner instantly replied, "Because you get to cuddle with little G-jers!"  I'm glad he knows how special he is.

Cutest Boys in the WHOLE world

I LOVE these pictures.  Jen found some old embroidered shirts that belonged to Sabe and his brothers when they were little boys and convinced our three little boys that strawberries and rainbows and butterflies were totally cool.  The skateboards were just what they had been doing ALL day.  I love it when Jen captures an expression or an attitude that is usually reserved only for me.  This first picture is one that I will print extra large for my wall for the rest of my life.  I NEVER want to forget my little boys--their faces, the way they smell after playing outside all day long, the poison ivy injuries, the sweet, pure love that only they can give.  Oh, the happiness in my heart when I think of these little boys.  Now, I can "see" them, too.

Brielle by Jennifer

What a privilege it is to watch my sweet sister transform her kitchen into a photography studio just for Brielle!  She spends hours without me even asking and creates these beautiful works of art.  In my opinion, most people can take a picture, but very few can create art and emotion.  Jen always does.  I admire her tremendously!  She's got a few little girls who look up to her so much that they want to be photographers when they grow up.  Again, she has left me filled with gratitude and more deeply indebted.   I tried to pick just a few, but I love every single one!  So here's Brielle, at six months, by Jennifer, my beautiful sister.

Once Upon a Mattress

This past weekend, Jaden played the role of Sir Harry in his school's musical.  Even though he couldn't wait for it to be done with so that he could go to Track practice, I hope he knows how much we enjoy seeing him on stage.  He has such a beautiful voice and great stage presence.  I am amazed at the gifts he's been given and grateful that he's always willing to share them.

Jaden's fans

McKenna was part of the costume crew.  She put in a lot of time and effort and had great fun doing it.  She made sure that Jaden wore underwear instead of boxers  and that his tights weren't too tight.  Despite the fact that Jaden's very own sister was costume crew, he still managed to wear his vest backwards on closing night!

More of Jaden's play...

Spring is in the Air!

Jaden, McKenna and Coley just finished another season of basketball.  They played their hearts out, which is all a parent could ask for.  I used to have all of these things I wanted to do and be.  Now, I'm content to let these sweet kids do and be.  They bring us so much joy!

St. Pat's Day Green Meal

Every St. Patrick's Day, we make a green meal.  Some are better than others!  This year, we had green eggs, green salad, green fruit salad, limeade, and green cookies.  Brielley had her two fingers.  All I can say is that I'd eat anything if I could spend the rest of my life around the table with these sweet faces.
