Week Four: Boise!

Our family has been given the gift of knowing true and lasting friendship. Outside of family, this family has been our best friends for over ten years now. We met the Adcocks when we first moved to Texas. I was pregnant with Cole. Jaden and McKenna were young; Jaden hadn't even started school. It was pretty instant, though; our friendship. I could write a BOOK of memories, and they're all in journals and videos and pictures, for which I'm grateful. Let's just say that, though we've lived apart for six of those years, nothing has faded. It just continues to grow.

Kaelan and McKenna both waited until they were 12 to get their ears pierced. Then, they waited until they could be together!

I also got to see my lifelong friend and college roommate, Amy! She let us use her pool like it was our own. She's always been generous like that.

Jaden had the privilege of going with the Eagle Stake on Trek. It was a really sweet experience for him.

His "Ma" and "Pa". Two very special people.

I got to see another sweet friend from growing up! Jenny and her family came to visit. She had a big influence on me during Junior High and High School. I'm really grateful for friends like these.

What wonderful friends you had and still have! Like you say, it makes such a difference to have wonderful friends growing up. And all your kids are about the same age--that makes it even sweeter!

Will we have a week five post? It's been fun to see what you guys did the "other" weeks we weren't together. How cool that you still keep in touch with such great friends. You all look smokin' for being, what, 38?
