Best of Boston

Jen put together these awesome layouts and shared them with me! So I'm calling this post the BEST because any picture of Jen's really is! I'm so grateful for all of these wonderful memories.

More Boston

One of our days in Boston was rainy. So we went to the Harvard Museum of Natural History! Here's a quick summary of our time there....

This is scary. Brielle pretends to talk on my cell phone.

Jaden is holding petrified crapola.

Jaden is taking a NAP.

Brielle kept calling him "Da Da". (Don't cry, though, Bri. I think one of the kids put her up to it.)

Had to have a picture of Jaden on the ass.

Brielle had so much fun that she paid for Jaden's big nap!

Boston/Harvard

Our family got to spend Mother's Day weekend with two of my sisters and their families and my mom and dad! There's so many pictures, I don't know which ones to post!! So here's just a few of the afternoon we spent walking around the campus of Harvard and Harvard Square. My favorite restaurant on the PLANET is here, Veggie Planet! Brian makes sure to treat me more than once, each time that we're in Boston. Lucky for me, my sister, Camille, enjoyed it almost as much as I do! And Lucky for me, my sweet sister, Jen, was there to capture these memories with her beautiful talent. And one more Lucky for me: I got to be with my sweet mother on Mother's Day. Have I ever mentioned how much I love my family?

Randomness

I'm never exactly sure what a day will bring. I guess none of us really are. Jaden usually tells me about his track meets or choir concerts the day OF. I'm not being dramatic, either. Every night, there's either soccer, basketball, dance or track. I can count on that! Being a perfectionist, I sometimes struggle with the chaos. BUT, I'm pretty sure I'm growing, though slowly, because SOMETIMES, I find myself embracing the chaos! Maybe I'm just getting used to it? I just hope that someday, when these sweet kids are grown, that they'll remember how GOOD to be a family it is. Living all of the ups and downs, successes and failures, together. We make a lot of mistakes, but so far, they're mostly laughable mistakes. I'm grateful for the way the gospel keeps pulling us back.

Happy Days...

I found these pictures, these lost little pictures, of a day we got to spend together as a family. They were taken in Oregon, when we were there for Grandpa Steve's funeral. It's amazing to me how healing love is. Being with people who love you. They make it possible to smile and laugh again, to feel joy. Just remembering makes me happy.

I hope Brielle treasures this someday. Brian's aunt Cheryl was just released as the Primary General President of our church. She is a special lady and took a special interest in little Brielle.

McKenna and Olivia

One day, during Spring Break, my sister Jen took us to her photography studio. It was the most charming little place I think I've ever been! When Jen gets her hands on anything, it becomes beautiful. I'm serious. Look what she did with our girls! All I did was hold a fan. I don't think McKenna and Olivia will ever forget the way she made them feel on this day. And I will feel forever grateful for the little moment in time that she has frozen for me.

Brielle

I can't believe it has taken me this LONG to post these!! I've already made a book and ordered poster size prints, though! Thank you, Jen. Two little words seem so small and insignificant compared to this gratitude and excitement that I feel. I will treasure these pictures, forever, just like the others you've done for me. How, though, is it possible that you just keep getting BETTER and BETTER when you're already the BEST????
